Q. What is Margin and Ratio?

Total collateral value / debt = ratio. The total value of the assets used for collateral is at least 1.75 times the debt lent. With the value of the collateral unchanged, the debt that can be lent out by adjusting the ratio will also change.

Popular example 1: Bob now has 100,000 BTS, assuming that the current market price is 1bitCNY = 1BTS. The value of the collateral owned by Bob is 100,000 bitCNY, and the maximum amount that can be lent by collateral is 100,000 / 1.75 = 57143 bitCNY. Here 1.75 is the ratio. You can also borrow only 5000, so the ratio is 20 (100000/5000 = 20).

Popular example 2: You have a 100 square meter house (collateralized BTS), and the total value of 1w per square meter (feed price) is calculated as 100w (total value of collateral). You can use this 100w property to borrow money from the bank to obtain RMB (borrowing debt bitCNY). In the end, you can borrow up to 100w / 1.75 = 57w RMB (bitCNY) from the bank or borrow only 5w at your choice. You can use your collateral at your discretion. Because there is no interest and return date, you can also continue to buy a house and then mortgage the loan in this way. Of course, the overall risk will also increase.

Q. What is the target collateral ratio?

A: The target collateral ratio means that after the forced margin call is triggered, the system will not sell all the collateral for the debt loan at a time during the process of selling your assets for the debt loan. Instead, it will be sold and returned until the target collateral ratio you set is reached, and your collateral will stop selling.

Q. What is an active committee?

A: The active committee is generated by the ranking of votes. Currently, the top 11 votes are active committees. The active committee is mainly responsible for adjusting the overall parameters of the system.

Q. What is a candidate committee?

A: Users who have applied for a committee account will become candidates committee, and they will become the active committee by voting to enter the top 11.

Q. What are active witnesses?

A: Active witnesses are generated by the ranking of votes. Currently, the top 21 votes are active witnesses. Active witnesses are mainly responsible for the generation of blocks in the BitShares Blockchain System and publish feed price.

Q. What is a candidate witness?

A: Users who have applied for a witness account will become candidate witnesses, and they will become active witnesses by voting for the top 21.

Q. What is an agent?

A: BTS holders can participate in voting in the BTS autonomous system, and at the same time, they can delegate the votes they hold to other users to exercise their voting rights on their behalf.

Q. What is the feed price?

A: The feed price is the median value obtained by the 21 witnesses who published the price data of all the BTS exchanges on the market, and then sorted it-that is the feed price.

Q. What is the unlock password?

A: When you perform operations such as transferring, you need to enter the unlock password to unlock it.

Q. What is the active private key?

A: Active private key can be logged in directly in private key mode. The active private key can only perform all operations such as transaction transfers. Unable to modify account owner.

Q. What is a gateway?

A: The gateway provides services for trading assets other than BTS. Such as BTC, ETH, LTC and so on. Users can freely trade gateway assets in the BitShares Blockchain. Users can also transfer assets to other CEXs through the gateway service.

Q. What is a gateway asset?

A: In the decentralized exchange of BitShares, if you need to trade other blockchain assets, such as: BTC, EOS, ETH, XRP, etc., you can choose assets issued by GDEX.BTC, GDEX.EOS and other gateways for trading. Users can also perform deposit and withdrawal operations through the gateway. The assets corresponding to other blockchains issued by the gateway on BitShares are actually IOUs. Please pay attention to choosing a reputable gateway asset for trading.

Q. What are the feed price and the call price?

A: The feed price is the median value obtained by the 21 witnesses who collected the price data of all the BTS exchanges on the market, and then sorted it-that is the feed price. The call price is the price at which the user's collateral is automatically sold by the system.

Q. What is a referrer code?

A: Lifetime members can view their own referrer code on the member information interface. New users fill in the referrer code when registering, and lifetime members get cashback.
